Lies

Okay, heres a MAJOR reminder to you! This section contains TONS of spoilers!!! You have been warned!

The beliefs and teachings of Yevon are all lies. Whenever you go to Zanarkand you will meet Lady Yunalesca, the first defeater of Sin. The teachings state that a summoner will go to Zanarkand and pray to the fayth and will call forth the Final Aeon and the Final Aeon will take the summoner's life and in the process, destroy Sin, creating the Calm. That is what the people of Spira believe. Yet, whenever Yuna journeys to Zanarkand, she finds out something else. There is a statue at the heart of the "Zanarkand Temple" although it is just an empty statue, there is no fayth. Therefore, the Final Aeon cannot be called by praying to fayth for there is none. The only way to call the Final Aeon is to choose someone with a special bond with the summoner. Although, the bond must be a stong one, like the bond between mother and child, brother and sister, or even friends. The person that the summoner chooses, becomes the fayth. Then the summoner calls the fayth, and together the bond must be strong enough to destroy Sin. Yet, the life is the summoner is still taken away.

"What happens to the fayth" you say? The fayth remains silent as the Calm takes place. Yet the fayth eventually becomes the next Sin. That is the cycle that has kept Sin going on for all these years. The teachings were all a lie, for Sin could never have been fully destroyed because of this cycle. The people were taught to live under these teachings and think nothing against it. No had ever thought of a diffrent way, the teachings of Yevon were just a mere cover up for what things really was. All the teachings of Yevon were false hope, and nothing else.

More on this section! While I'm replaying the game, I'll take more notice of the lies of Yevon, and hopefully explain this all better to you!
