Yevon is the religon known through-out all of Spira. It is the only religon that is practiced in Spira. Those that practice these religon are considered "Yevonites". Those who do not believe in these teachings are usually Al Bhed. The beliefs that these people live by, are known as "Yevon's Teachings".
The teachings of Yevon were created in hope to atone for Spira's wrongs done nearly 1000 years ago. The people of Spira still live by these customs in hope that there will one day be an Eternal Calm; Or in other words a eternal time of peace without Sin.
More comming up on this section, the history of Yevon is quite complexed, so while I'm re-playing the game, I'll take notes and post up more here later ;).
